Be yourself.

People have probably told you this a million times already.  Someone will probably tell you this today.  And chances are you'll hear it in the next month or so.

Is the phrase cliche?  Yes.  But many important phrases and ideas have become cliche over time.  Oh well.

Don't make yourself cliche though.  Don't become just another student or just another employee or just another boss or just another chef.

I write short posts here because those are the types of posts I enjoy reading.  Not necessarily everyone's cup of tea but that's cool.  I'm not asking it to be.  I'm just being me.

Read a book by your favorite author.  Watch a movie by your favorite director.  Go to a show by your favorite band.

Chances are they're just being them.
